01The principle

Obedience software produces assistive drafts and working tools for construction professionals. Outputs are not professional advice, not a valuation, and not a substitute for review by a qualified quantity surveyor or other appropriate professional.

The professional who reviews, amends and signs remains the author of record. That is not a disclaimer bolted on at the end: it is how the product is built. AI suggestions show their source, and nothing client-facing is issued from the product without a human accepting it.

02What this means in practice

• Check quantities, rates and totals before relying on them commercially
• Treat AI-suggested descriptions, classifications and prices as a starting point for professional judgement
• Keep your own professional indemnity arrangements in place: our software does not stand in for them
• Do not present raw, unreviewed output to clients as completed professional work
